The name change, designed for Farmacia El Bierzo, is the most definitive signal so far of the company’s intention to stake its future
on a new purpose – the branding, an experience based in a remarkable history, relations and honesty. In branding’s vision, people will congregate and communicate by entering in liquid experiences and environments, whether they’re talking with team, providers or clients in far-flung corners of the world.

Welcome to our strategic design Farmacia El Bierzo, one of our signature healthcare retail pharmacies at Brandcelona® Healthcare. A heartfelt tribute to her founder’s origins, and the creative ethos behind Marta Rodriguez Tato. Every corner of the store resonates with this purpose — from the intricate hand-maked backgrounds adorning the graphical signage and social media backgrounds designed specifically for digital channels, to the rational lines of the commercial and service areas.
We extend a special thank you to all El Bierzo community, their talented team, along with the ‘bercian’ artisans who poured their craft into each part of the space.
Inspired by the breathtaking landscape of El Bierzo and rooted in a profound respect for its heritage, we have meticulously designed the Farmacia El Bierzo’s brand and retail experience. The natural signage supports, reflects the abundant natural beauty of the area and the copper in the desks and furniture provide industrial accents of their past.
A specific corners designed in the retail space pays homage to the area’s rich history, including Egeria – a Bercian lady of the 4th century who made a personal and introspective journey through the Middle East and inspire us to design ‘El Viaje de Egeria’ a beauty packaging line of products that evokes that entrepreneurial, free and lively spirit.

’El Viaje de Egeria’ their own line of natural beauty products and ‘El Bierzo a Bocados’, a nutritional cultural movement that embrace the community and promotes a healthy lifestyle rooted in the local landscape are showcased in the space with lush vegetation framing the graphic signage on the furniture, emphasising the natural beauty of El Bierzo’s landscapes.
Working closely with our client, we meticulously designed multiple internal and external audience journeys. Our strategic focus on branding helps us make key corporate decisions in product, services and communication strategies as the pharmacy grows in its purpose. Positioning the brand at the center of corporate decisions ensures that every interaction in retail is personalised, positive, and cohesive.
Designing on this purpose, we crafted a complete brand strategy to act as a compass to set Farmacia El Bierzo out into the world, fuel the natural curiosity of visitors and celebrate individualism whilst building a strong sense of community without borders. The concept is eclectic enough to ensure everyone at Farmacia El Bierzo feels the character of the area, from travellers to local visitors, from front-desk staff to business partners.
